A historical house brought back to life

This house had not been lived in since 1935 and was totally run down. This project was one of restoration and preservation in line with Unesco guidelines. The project took over 7 years to complete resulting in a house of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and numerous outside living. One key aspect of the project was the challenge of keeping all of it's original features. In partnership with Melodi Horne, who undertook the interior refurbishment, we were able to not only rescue existing furniture but also to source other items that were in keeping with a house of this age and style.

A full architectural refurbishment

This project took 3 years to complete as it was a total reconstruction from top to bottom, including full restoration of the rare tile flooring and wooden celling beams which date back to the 18th century. The team incorporated modern comforts such as hidden AC, underfloor heating and water recycling without compromising the traditional island vibe of this house. In partnership with Melodi Horne, who undertook the refurbishment, we used a bold expression of colour giving a warm and playful air to this very traditional greek island house.

Restoration of a storage warehouse

This was a very dark and dilapidated warehouse with the only original features being the stone work and wooden beams. This project was started and completed within a year which included all relevelent planning consents. As it was a property with minimal light we, alongside Melodio Horne, decided to incorporate an all white open plan design, giving this property an almost New York loft apartment feel.
